The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment opens tomorrow (21:00 hours) within the Plan of Exhibition Spaces the exhibition 'IV Centenary of Cervantes' in Albudeite, in which the Association of Friends of the Fine Arts 'Pigments' pays homage To this writer, after commemorating the fourth centenary of his death.
Installed in the Paseo de la Constitución and the Plaza de España in Albudeite, its inauguration coincides with the performance in the streets of the municipality of 'El Quijote goes out to the street', of the Murcian theater company La Murga, which is included in the Plan Regional scene also created by the Ministry.
Next Monday, July 3, the collection will be transferred to the Casa de la Cultura 'Paco Rabal', where it can be visited until July 16.
The director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, stressed that the sample of Albudeite "complements the cultural and leisure offer of those who visit this municipality on the way to Caravaca de la Cruz Of the Jubilee Year ".
In addition, he highlighted the success of this association to "work on this project with an original focus on the figure of one of the great writers of history, Miguel de Cervantes.
The exhibition consists of about thirty paintings of different formats made with various techniques, such as charcoal, acrylic, collage and oil, in addition there is a small sculpture in clay.
López-Briones said that the Plan for Exhibition Spaces "favors the visibility of local artists and groups and activates the cultural programming of the exhibition halls of the localities attached to this network."
The head of the ICA said that "only in a month and a half have been launched seven exhibitions in different parts of the region within this initiative and by the end of the year will see the work of sixty regional artists."
Collective 'Pigments'
The Friends of the Fine Arts 'Pigmentos' Association is set up in 2012 as a result of the artistic concern of a group of people from different localities of the Region.
It is a non-profit association, located in the Fuente Alamo Museum.
Previously, they have carried out different joint activities with the Puente Bocinos Association of Murcia, under the guidance of Manuel Delgado, a professor at the University of Murcia.
The objective of this association is to enhance the creative and artistic capacity of those who want to develop in plastic activities and contribute to the promotion of artists and creators.
Since its creation, it has facilitated the presence in the municipality of artists and professionals of the Region who have participated in workshops such as José Víctor Villalba, Miguel Alemán, Cristóbal Pérez, all of them Murcia teachers and painters, Salvador López Casas (sculptor), the Cartageneros Javier Lorente and Juan Pedro Esteban, and Manuel Delgado and Elisa Ortega, university professors and engraving specialists.
