The Ministry of Tourism and Culture organizes a new exhibition in Albudeite within the Exhibition Space Plan.
Under the title of 'Intruders', a set of works by the Murcian artist Antonio Tapia will be exhibited in the Exhibition Hall of the Local Day Center.
The exhibition will open this Saturday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m.
The Director General of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, explained that "both the creators who start their careers and those who already have a long career, as in the case of Antonio Tapia, have the opportunity to show the public their work in the exhibitions organized within the Exhibition Space Plan ".
This project, which is in its second edition, "will allow this year to organize 56 exhibitions in some thirty municipalities, collaborating with the municipalities of the Region of Murcia when promoting culture and bringing it closer to all citizens," added the responsible for the ICA, who also pointed out that other initiatives such as the Plan Escena, Asociarte or the summer program 'Mar Menor, + culture of which you imagine' pursue that same objective.
'Intruders', by Antonio Tapia, can be seen in Albudeite until July 29, from Tuesday to Thursday, from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and from Friday to Sunday, for this it is necessary to previously arrange a visit to the center. calling 968 66 75 02.
These are some intruders who 'sneak' into the works of Tapia and are, among others, huge dinosaurs and small astronauts who run curious paintings, vintage cars, birds and even a child who watches the visitor, also converted into Intruder, with his big magnifying glass.
They are, according to the catalog published on the occasion of this exhibition, intruders who observe without giving an account of their intentions, who walk curiously and that the creator rescues to give them a greater presence, solid and ethereal at the same time, on an atmosphere full of galaxies, lights and color.
With them Tapia wants to reflect the coexistence between the conscious part of the human being and the unconscious.
This exhibition was held for the first time in the High Room of the Real Casino of Murcia in October 2015 and has gone through other spaces.
In addition, the work of Tapia was selected to be part of the collective exhibition that accompanied the 'Recent Spanish Cinema 2016', presentation of Spanish cinema in the United States (Miami and Los Angeles), and the subsequent itinerancy of this collective by the Consulate of Spain in Los Angeles and other venues in San Diego, Los Angeles and New York.
